Vince Gill Returns for a Summer Residency at the Ryman

Vince Gill, the 22-time Grammy winner whose connection to the Mother Church of Country Music runs deeper than almost any artist still performing, is returning to the Ryman Auditorium for a multi-night summer residency. An Evening with Vince Gill runs July 30 through August 7, stringing together acoustic nights, full-band shows, and guest-heavy sets across the run.

Gill's Ryman residencies have become annual pilgrimages for country purists. Past runs have featured surprise drop-ins from Amy Grant, Keith Urban, and the late Rodney Crowell, and the setlists draw from Gill's five-decade catalog — "When I Call Your Name," "Go Rest High on That Mountain," "I Still Believe in You," and deeper cuts he rarely plays anywhere else. The Ryman's wooden pews and stained glass do more for these songs than any arena could.

If you're going: ticket availability varies by night; the acoustic-focused dates historically sell first. The Ryman is a short walk from Broadway, but the show-night crowds make dinner reservations a good idea.
